Business Idea
Full Circle Inc. is a multi-sided platform business model. By forming a partnership with one, large dairy in the southern San Joaquin Valley to start, we will construct a building attached to an already existing dairy operations center. Within our adjoining facility we will take raw cow manure and through a composting process convert this raw material into two byproducts. The first, which we will sell to the farmer is thermal energy (heat) for preheating hot water for use in the dairy. The second product will be compost. The compost we will use to create our retail product called Full Circle Planters™. Full Circle Planters are a consumer gardening product, which will be available at home and garden supply stores, nurseries, and boutique gardening stores.
The service side of our business idea is two-fold. First, it is a “waste disposal” service. It then becomes a processing and energy generating business. And finally it is a producer of a green, plastic waste reducing, fertility enhancing, gardening product. Our service will be marketed as waste reduction, liability reduction, thermal generation and marketing potential for our partners, the farmers.

The manure is utilized in our facility where it goes through the compost process. Composting converts the manure through a microbial process into a soil amendment. It also eliminates pathogens, creating “humus” which will add fertilizer and organic matter to garden beds. Once this several week process is complete, compost, water, and an organic binder are added together. From this we use molds to press our pot forms. We plan to make them in four sizes: 3 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch, 17 inch.
The pots will be made through a process of upcycling composted cow manure. We will source our raw material from a strong relationship with one main dairy. Once this proves to be successful we plan to expand and form new relationships with more businesses who have cow manure as a waste product, one client at a time. Our production facilities will be located first in the southern San Joaquin Valley and then will expand to include the North Coast, the Central Coast, and the Northern Sacramento Valley.
Full Circle Planters are sold to retail customers, where they can plant the pot right into the ground, reducing plastic and need for fertilizers. Customers and farmers can feel good about purchasing our product and services because we are upcycling a waste product that is currently contributing to air and water pollution, which will in turn reduce the need to the for non-recyclable plastic.
